The heavily contoured layers of reticulated and closed-cell foam on the back of this harness flattens out the bulge of the barrel. Thus eliminating the pressure on the spine so common with other harnesses.
This harness can be custom fit to each and every individual, using the detachable S-shaped shoulder straps (5 sizes) and hip belt (3 sizes). Barrel sold separately.

Cushy reticulated foam (used in air conditioners) and high density closed cell foam for back panel
EVA foam(high quality dense foam does not compress over time) and ether foam (soft and cushy) in shoulder straps
National Moulding buckles (toughest on the market)
All stress points are sewn multiple times or bar-tacked
Suspension System - Barrel Harness
S-shaped shoulder straps with adjustable chest strap (5 sizes); they are 3/4" thick, two layers with a dense EVA top layer that prevents the pack from digging into your shoulders.
Stabilizer straps on shoulder straps and hip belt provide adjustment and pull the load closer to your back and hips so the barrel moves with you.
Soft padded hip belt (3 sizes)
Fleece lined tump line (so you can carry like a voyageur)
